  Self aligning ball bearings are very suitable for applications where the shaft and bearing seat are misaligned. Self aligning ball bearings are designed to adapt to 3 degree deviations and minimize friction and frictional heat. Due to the relatively small contact angle, the axial load capacity of these bearings is lower than that of angular contact bearings, etc.

*Construction of self-aligning ball bearings

The self-aligning ball bearing consists of an outer ring, an inner ring, a rolling element, a cage that accommodates the rolling element, and possible seals, which protect the rolling element and lubricant from contamination. (2) Apply engine oil or grease to the outer surface of the bearing.

(3) Use oil to lubricate the adapter.

(4) Slightly open the adapter and use the expander tool to slide it CZPT the shaft.

(5) After the adapter is in the correct position, place the bearing on the locking sleeve. To place the bearings in the correct position, if the shaft has threads, use nuts; If not, please use a bearing pusher kit or a small mallet.

(6) Ensure that the bearing can rotate on the outer ring after being in place. It should not be possible to rotate, but it should be possible to rotate freely.

(7) By removing the nut, placing the washer, and reinstalling the nut, lock the bearing in place with a locking washer.

Attention: If the locking sleeve is loose or not fully fixed in place, the inner ring of the locking sleeve will start to rotate. As a result, excessive friction may occur between these 3 components, leading to damage to the shaft, adapter, and bearings.
